Hi, my name is Stephen Shire and I’d like to thank you for visiting my site. A few years ago I decided to replace my old “tube” television with a larger flat screen plasma and never looked back. In the old days, when cathode ray tube television was the only TV technology around, buying a television was simple, however life was much more boring. Now there are many options and TV technology is exciting, and that’s why I started this site. I hope it helps you with your next TV purchase.

Aside from plasma television, flat screen TV and other home theater technologies, some of my other interests include Web development, especially with WordPress, martial arts, and travel.

My home town is… New York, New York, a.k.a. the Island of Manhattan:

New York City is in fact the world capital of consumer electronics, with the cheapest prices and a huge selection of everything. If you find yourself in town and in need of electronics, I suggest you stop by B&H on 34th Street and 9th Ave. It’s a large store and a sight to be seen because of its world-famous ceiling mounted merchandise conveyor belt system.

This is a street view of the B&H store:

And as long as you’re in town, why don’t you visit my favorite spot, Columbus Circle, which is on 59th Street and 8th Avenue:
